Privacy Policy

Overview

Melody Mapper (“the App”) helps you play a virtual piano and detect pitch so notes appear on the keyboard. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App uses and how it is handled.

We do not create accounts, show ads, or sell your data. Pitch detection and saved tunes stay on your device unless you choose to share them yourself outside the App.

Microphone

The App requests microphone access only when you use Listen / note detection. Audio from the microphone is processed on your device in real time to estimate pitch and map notes to the piano.

We do not upload microphone audio to our servers. We do not record or store raw audio files as part of note detection.

Tunes and settings stored on your device

Detected melodies you save (“tunes”) and your preferences (such as sound preset, reverb, theme, and haptics) are stored locally in the App’s private storage on your device.

Deleting the App or clearing App data removes this local information. We do not sync it to a cloud account operated by us.

Information we do not collect

The App does not require an account or personal profile. We do not intentionally collect your name, email, location, contacts, or photos.

We do not use third-party analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or crash-reporting services that would send personal data to us in the current version of the App.

Permissions

Microphone — used for on-device pitch detection.

Modify audio settings — used so piano playback behaves correctly with your device audio session.

Vibration / haptics — used when you enable haptic feedback for note capture.

Children

The App is suitable for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because processing stays on-device and we do not operate user accounts, no child-specific account data is stored with us.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App’s features or practices change. The “Last updated” date at the top of this policy will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
